Customer Service Associate (Fixed Term 2 Years)

About the role

Greystar, a global real estate platform focused on institutional-quality rental housing, is hiring a Customer Service Associate for a fixed-term position of 2 years. Working as part of a team, the role covers day-to-day management of the property and its community, including marketing, building maintenance and tenancy administration, with the aim of achieving occupancy and retention goals.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional resident service, including a comprehensive front-of-house service and handling customer queries and complaints in line with the complaints procedure
• Support events and activities, build relationships with university clients and maintain local knowledge of travel, entertainment and amenities
• Complete administrative tasks such as logging maintenance requests, filing, preparing notices and updating databases
• Carry out marketing and sales and leasing activities, including open days, leafleting, viewings and follow-up on enquiries
• Help with summer community preparations, including move-in and move-out processes
• Carry out health and safety compliance activities and take part in an on-call roster for out-of-hours emergency support
• Chase rent arrears, raise purchase orders, ensure tenant refunds are processed on time and help maximise utility efficiency
• Promote tenancy extensions and other revenue streams such as vending

Required profile

• Good level of general education
• Significant experience in a customer-facing service delivery role
• Fluent English, verbal and written
• Knowledge of UK Health and Safety requirements and legislation
• Autonomous, flexible and able to adapt communication and negotiation to different audiences

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Use of databases or booking systems (training provided for in-house systems)
• Numerical skills and good organisation and multitasking abilities
