Data Governance Consultant – £365/day (Outside IR35)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Data Governance Consultant to join our client on a contract basis. You will work remotely, travelling to the London office only when required, and will help embed robust data governance practices across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and embed data governance practices aligned to the DAMA framework.
• Define and implement data ownership and stewardship models.
• Design and roll out enterprise‑wide data quality controls.
• Collaborate with senior business stakeholders to drive adoption and buy‑in.
• Develop target operating models, data policies and governance metrics.
• Lead data maturity assessments and track progress against defined frameworks.

Required profile

• Proven experience in enterprise data management and information governance.
• Deep expertise in DAMA‑based governance practices.
• Track record building target operating models, data policies, metrics and maturity assessment frameworks.
• Strong understanding of data security frameworks and GDPR compliance.
• Comfortable operating at senior stakeholder level.
• UK‑based with full right to work in the UK.
