Data Privacy Legal Officer

About the role

ACE Money Transfer is seeking a Data Privacy Legal Officer to provide operational legal and compliance support within the Corporate Governance and Legal Affairs department. The role will work closely with the Data Privacy Expert and Manager to ensure the Group meets its data‑protection obligations across nine operating jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate Data Processing Agreements, Standard Contractual Clauses, NDAs, partnership and commercial agreements, ensuring alignment with UK GDPR, EU GDPR and international privacy frameworks.
• Conduct first‑line privacy due‑diligence on vendors, partners and third‑party processors, complete data‑protection questionnaires and flag risks for senior review.
• Apply approved contract templates, standard clauses and negotiation playbooks; escalate novel legal risks or complex cross‑border transfer scenarios.
• Maintain and manage data‑protection contracts in the CLM platform, handling intake, tracking, renewal alerts and archiving.
• Support internal audits, regulatory inspections and supervisory authority requests by providing accurate documentation.
• Assist with DSAR management, DPIA/DTIA documentation, breach first‑response logging, RoPA maintenance, privacy notice updates and regulatory filing across all jurisdictions.
