Defined Benefits Pension Consultant

About the role

IPS Group is seeking a proactive Defined Benefits Pension Consultant to work with employer and trustee clients across the UK. The role offers the chance to build long‑term partnerships, lead strategic discussions and help shape the future of pension schemes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate service delivery to ensure a high‑quality client experience.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with employers, trustees and advisers.
• Lead strategic conversations on long‑term scheme objectives and provide clear communications through reports, presentations and updates.
• Coordinate client projects, including scheme development initiatives.
• Provide expert advice on DB pensions, legislation and industry trends.
• Support junior team members and collaborate across internal teams.
• Ensure compliance with governance, risk and policy standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience in DB client relationship management.
• Strong knowledge of defined benefit pensions, funding and governance.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive, solutions‑focused mindset.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
