Deputy Manager – Learning Disabilities (Supported Living)

About the role
The Deputy Manager will support the delivery of a specialist supported living service for adults with learning disabilities at Nutley Avenue in Saltdean, Brighton. This role combines leadership, person‑centred care and operational oversight to help residents achieve independence and community participation.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee day‑to‑day service delivery, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Lead, mentor and support care staff, fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.
- Develop and review individual care plans, promoting independence, life‑skill development and community involvement.
- Manage budgets, resources and staffing rotas to maintain efficient service operation.
- Build relationships with residents, families, external agencies and community partners.
- Monitor quality indicators and implement improvements as needed.
Required profile
- Proven experience in a care setting, preferably with adults who have learning disabilities.
- Demonstrated leadership or supervisory experience in a health‑ or social‑care environment.
- Relevant qualifications in health, social care or a related field.
- Strong understanding of person‑centred approaches and safeguarding policies.
