Deputy Safeguarding Lead

About the role
Join a leading further education college as Deputy Safeguarding Lead, supporting the safety, wellbeing and academic success of students at the Weybridge campus. You will work closely with senior staff to ensure safeguarding policies are robust and consistently applied.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and monitor safeguarding policies and procedures across the college.
- Provide guidance and support to students, including those with Special Educational Needs.
- Liaise with external agencies and professionals to achieve the best outcomes for students.
- Promote an inclusive, positive learning environment.
- Deliver training and awareness sessions on safeguarding and wellbeing.
- Develop and execute action plans to address identified risks.
Required profile
- Experience in a safeguarding or related role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Strong understanding of child protection legislation.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for supporting young people and promoting their wellbeing.
