Derivatives Trade Management Assistant Vice President

About the role

This position is based in London and supports high‑volume derivatives trade flows across multiple asset classes. You will work within a collaborative Middle Office team, interfacing with Front Office desks, Treasury, Finance & Control, and COO functions across EMEA and globally.

Key responsibilities

• Execute daily business‑as‑usual derivative trade management activities, ensuring completeness, accuracy and adherence to service level agreements.
• Perform detailed control checks on trade booking and lifecycle events, maintaining audit trails and escalating any risk breaches.
• Manage non‑economic trade updates such as CUSIP/ISIN changes to preserve data integrity for downstream reporting.
• Oversee overnight Middle Office/Back Office processes, validate outputs, investigate breaks and resolve or escalate issues promptly.
• Produce regular BAU reports on trade volumes, best execution, third‑party risk management and fee calculations.
• Generate ad‑hoc management information and analysis to support operational oversight.
• Support user acceptance testing by executing trade booking and lifecycle scenarios.
• Maintain and enhance desk‑top procedures to reflect current practices.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under defined SLAs.
• Experience in derivatives trade management or a related Middle Office function.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements and control frameworks.
• Analytical mindset with capability to produce accurate reporting and audit trails.
