Design Technology Teacher – Full‑time (Cambridge)

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Design Technology (DT) Teacher to join a Good‑rated secondary school in Cambridgeshire. The role starts in September and offers a long‑term, full‑time position within a supportive and ambitious learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging DT lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Inspire students to develop creativity, problem‑solving and technical abilities.
• Plan, prepare and deliver high‑quality, curriculum‑aligned sessions.
• Assess, monitor and report on pupil progress.
• Maintain a safe, well‑organised workshop and classroom.
• Contribute to departmental development and the wider school community.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Design Technology in a secondary school setting.
• Knowledge of one or more DT specialisms such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Engineering, Graphics or Food Technology.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Passion for inspiring young people and raising attainment.
