About the role
We are seeking a passionate Design Technology Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school in Reigate. The successful candidate will inspire students across a range of abilities, fostering creativity, problem‑solving and practical engineering skills through engaging lessons.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver Design Technology curriculum covering Product Design, Resistant Materials and CAD/CAM.
- Lead hands‑on projects that develop students’ ability to design, create and evaluate products.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback and support achievement of academic goals.
- Collaborate with the Design Technology department and wider faculty to enhance interdisciplinary learning.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive and well‑managed workshop environment.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience teaching Design Technology at secondary level.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing.
