Design Technology Teacher

About the role

We are seeking a passionate Design Technology Teacher to join our vibrant secondary school in Reigate. The successful candidate will inspire students across a range of abilities, fostering creativity, problem‑solving and practical engineering skills through engaging lessons.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver Design Technology curriculum covering Product Design, Resistant Materials and CAD/CAM.
• Lead hands‑on projects that develop students’ ability to design, create and evaluate products.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback and support achievement of academic goals.
• Collaborate with the Design Technology department and wider faculty to enhance interdisciplinary learning.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and well‑managed workshop environment.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Proven experience teaching Design Technology at secondary level.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing.
