Director, Compensation & Benefits

About the role

As Director of Compensation & Benefits you will create and lead a new Centre of Excellence, shaping a modern, data‑driven reward function that supports Forterro’s growth across EMEA and APAC. You will be responsible for implementing EU Pay Transparency, ensuring fairness, compliance and market alignment across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and embed a scalable compensation and benefits strategy, including job architecture, pay structures and governance standards.
• Lead global annual compensation cycles – merit, market adjustments, bonuses and promotions – using robust market benchmarking and salary banding.
• Design, evaluate and govern global and local benefit programmes, ensuring competitiveness, cost‑effectiveness and compliance.
• Provide analytical insight on pay equity, transparency and reward performance through dashboards and reporting for senior leaders.
• Partner with executive and functional leaders on reward implications of M&A, equity management and business transformation.

Required profile

• Proven director‑level experience in Compensation & Benefits within a matrixed, international software or SaaS organisation.
• Deep knowledge of compensation practices, benefits design and employment legislation across EMEA and APAC.
• Experience building and operating a Centre of Excellence in a fast‑growth, acquisition‑driven environment.
• Strong commercial acumen and analytical capability to turn data into strategic recommendations.

Required skills

• Expertise in job architecture, market benchmarking and salary banding.
• Familiarity with HRIS platforms and reward analytics tools.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills across cultures and senior stakeholders.
