About the role

EY Tax is seeking a Director to lead its Indirect Tax (VAT) advisory practice within the Financial Services sector. Based in Canary Wharf, you will work on high‑profile, multi‑country projects, helping clients navigate complex VAT challenges while shaping the future of the practice.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and own VAT advisory projects for financial services clients across multiple jurisdictions.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the indirect tax space.
• Collaborate with senior managers and directors to deliver innovative tax solutions.
• Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
• Stay abreast of regulatory changes and translate them into actionable client advice.

Required profile

• Extensive experience advising on indirect tax, particularly VAT, within the financial services industry.
• Proven track record of managing complex, multi‑country tax projects.
• Strong client‑facing skills and ability to build lasting relationships.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, preferably at director level.
