Director/Associate Director Adjuster - Construction & Engineering

About the role

Sedgwick is appointing a Director/Associate Director Adjuster to its Construction and Engineering London Market team, strengthening the Construction & Engineering practice within Sedgwick International. The role handles annual contractor policies and project-specific placements across a range of nominated accounts, and sits alongside technical delivery as part of the team's strategic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Handle annual contractor policies and project-specific placements across a diverse range of nominated accounts
• Manage material damage Construction All Risks (CAR) claims
• Apply sound technical judgement and engage confidently with stakeholders
• Partner with experienced colleagues to drive quality, consistency and market credibility

Required profile

• Demonstrable expertise in a specialist construction adjusting environment
• Proven capability in managing material damage CAR claims
• Well-developed knowledge of DSU claims and related policy covers
• Full UK driving licence (essential)
• Responsible, confident in decision-making, able to work with others and manage their own workload

Required skills

• Professional status: ACILA, or working towards chartership; a relevant building-related degree is preferred but not essential if you have relevant Construction Adjusting experience
• Strong knowledge of CAR losses
