Early Years Teaching Assistant – Pre‑School (Full‑time)

About the role

This position is for an Early Years Teaching Assistant in a primary school’s Pre‑School room in Salford. You will work full‑time, Monday to Friday, supporting children under three years old and helping to create a safe, nurturing environment where they can explore and develop.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver age‑appropriate EYFS activities that promote learning and development.
• Create a welcoming, safe space that encourages confidence and independence.
• Assist with daily routines such as meals, personal care, and outdoor play.
• Observe and record children’s progress, providing feedback to parents and carers.
• Collaborate with early years and school staff to ensure a seamless learning experience.
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and school policies at all times.

Required profile

• Level 3 qualification in Childcare/Early Years (or equivalent).
• Proven experience working within the EYFS, especially with children under three.
• Passion for supporting early development and helping children reach milestones.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with children, parents, and colleagues.
• Proactive, adaptable, and able to work collaboratively within a team.
• Good understanding of safeguarding practices and child development.

• Competitive daily rate of £95‑£100 PAYE, dependent on experience.
