Earthworks Supervisor – Major Infrastructure Projects

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Earthworks Supervisor to lead on large‑scale infrastructure projects across the UK. You will manage day‑to‑day earthworks activities, ensuring safety, quality and efficiency on site.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise all earthworks operations, including cut & fill, excavation and grading.
• Manage site teams, plant operators and subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Monitor progress, report to senior management and adjust plans as needed.
• Coordinate delivery of materials, machinery and labour.
• Maintain quality standards in line with project specifications.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Earthworks Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role.
• Strong background in civil engineering or large infrastructure projects.
• SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
• Full UK driving licence.

Required skills

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans.
