Electrical Contract Manager – Social Housing

About the role

Our client, a leading social housing repairs and maintenance contractor, is seeking an experienced Electrical Contract Manager to oversee a portfolio of housing properties in Stratford. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will ensure electrical projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of planned maintenance, responsive repairs, void works and capital projects across occupied and void social housing units.
• Lead a team of supervisors, electricians and specialist subcontractors, ensuring safe and efficient execution.
• Oversee electrical installations, rewires, consumer‑unit upgrades, EICRs and communal system maintenance.
• Ensure all work complies with BS7671 Wiring Regulations, Health & Safety legislation and client specifications.
• Monitor contract performance against KPIs, SLAs and budgets, driving improvements where needed.
• Conduct regular site, quality and safety inspections and maintain accurate testing records.
• Manage project programmes, resources and material procurement to meet timelines and budgets.
• Build strong relationships with clients, residents and supply‑chain partners.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing electrical contracts within the social housing or property maintenance sector.
• Strong knowledge of UK electrical legislation and safety standards.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage commercial performance.
• Excellent problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills.
