Electrical Installation Lecturer – Full‑time Temporary (£40‑£50/hr)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Installation Lecturer to join the Engineering department of a well‑established Further Education College in the North West. This full‑time, temporary position offers the chance to inspire apprentices and full‑time learners across Level 1‑3 Electrical Installation programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, high‑quality teaching for Level 1‑3 Electrical Installation courses.
• Support apprentices and full‑time learners to achieve their qualifications.
• Plan, prepare and assess learning activities to ensure excellent student outcomes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and quality‑assurance processes.
• Collaborate with employers and industry partners to facilitate learner progression.
• Provide academic and pastoral support, encouraging achievement and progression.

Required profile

• Strong background in Electrical Installation with relevant industry experience.
• Recognised teaching qualification or willingness to obtain one.
• Assessor and/or IQA qualifications are desirable.
• Experience delivering Electrical Installation in a Further Education or apprenticeship setting.
• Up‑to‑date knowledge of current electrical regulations and industry practices.
• Excellent communication, organisational and classroom‑management skills.
• Passion for developing learners and supporting their potential.
