Electrical Installation Lecturer (Further Education)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Installation Lecturer to deliver high‑quality teaching for Further Education providers in London. You will help learners develop practical installation skills, technical knowledge and confidence to succeed in the electrical and building services sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging Electrical Installation lessons across a range of levels.
• Assess, monitor and record student progress in line with college requirements.
• Provide constructive feedback and practical support to improve learners’ skills.
• Maintain a safe workshop environment and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Foster an inclusive, motivating classroom atmosphere.
• Contribute to learner retention, achievement and progression.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in Electrical Installation, Electrotechnical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training or equivalent).
• Experience teaching Electrical Installation in Further Education, Higher Education, secondary or adult learning settings.
• Strong classroom and workshop management abilities.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
• Recent industry experience as an Electrician, Electrical Installer or Electrical Engineer is desirable.
