Electrical Installations Lecturer – Level 3 NVQ (Birmingham)

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Installations Lecturer to deliver Level 3 NVQ Electrical Installations training at our Birmingham campus. The successful candidate will provide high‑quality teaching, support student progress and uphold our excellent facilities and supportive department.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and assess Level 3 NVQ Electrical Installations courses.
- Develop lesson materials and practical sessions aligned with industry standards.
- Monitor student performance, provide feedback and maintain accurate records.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including the 18th Edition wiring standards.
- Collaborate with department staff to continuously improve the curriculum.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS, or Level 5 Diploma in Education & Training).
- Relevant Level 3 Electrical Qualification (e.g., City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3) plus 18th Edition certification.
- Proven experience delivering Level 3 NVQ Electrical Installations in a college or training centre.

What we offer
- Salary up to £56,000 per annum (dependent on experience).
- 55 days of annual leave.
