Electrical & Instrumentation Supervisor – Industrial Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Supervisor to join a blue‑chip industrial manufacturing company in Erith. You will lead the site maintenance programme, ensuring plant reliability, safety and performance across a fast‑paced factory environment.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities, including planned preventative, reactive and breakdown work.
• Lead a team of technicians and external contractors, coordinating schedules and resources.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and permit‑to‑work systems.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment uptime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and performance reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience in electrical and instrumentation maintenance within an industrial manufacturing setting.
• Hands‑on experience supervising pre‑planned, reactive and breakdown maintenance.
• Apprentice‑trained / NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering.
• Knowledge of UK manufacturing standards and safety legislation is desirable.

Required skills

• Strong electrical fault‑finding and diagnostic abilities.
• Experience with PLCs, instrumentation systems, motors, drives and control panels.
• Ability to manage maintenance teams and contractors effectively.
