Electrical Support Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Support Engineer to join a global specialist in intelligent drive technology. The role is based in Croydon and offers a permanent contract with a competitive salary package.

Key responsibilities

• Manage electrical tasks, testing protocols and issue resolution alongside senior engineering staff.
• Develop, own and maintain the Job Pack system for electrically‑biased projects.
• Control electrically‑biased concessions, engineering changes and Bill of Materials (BoM) creation, review and certification.
• Maintain all electrically‑biased data, manuals, drawings and related documentation.
• Design, select and reverse‑engineer electrical components, systems and test equipment.
• Conduct investigations, analyses and research to support NCRs, customer complaints, warranty claims and fault diagnosis.

Required profile

• Qualified engineer with a minimum HNC/HND (or equivalent) in electrical, electronics or avionics engineering.
• Proven design experience with a balanced mix of general design and reverse engineering.
• Strong understanding of electrical fundamentals and their application to product design and fault analysis.
