Electrician – Void Properties (Govanhill Contract)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Electrician to join our team on the Govanhill void‑property contract. This hands‑on, field‑based role is based in Tannochside, Glasgow and involves maintaining, repairing and installing electrical systems across social housing properties.

Key responsibilities

• Install, service, fault‑find and maintain electrical installations in void properties.
• Carry out first‑fix and second‑fix works, including rewiring kitchens.
• Repair electrical accessories such as sockets, extractor fans and light switches.
• Inspect and test installations in line with 2391/2394/2395 standards.
• Work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations (including AM2).
• City & Guilds 18th Edition (or willingness to upgrade from 17th).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Previous experience in domestic or social‑housing electrical work.
• Ability to pass background, identity and security checks.
