Electronics Test Technician

About the role

We are seeking an Electronics Test Technician to join a dynamic team in Devizes. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and testing electronic and electromechanical assemblies at component level, often without full documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Fault finding and diagnosing assemblies to component level.
• Component‑level repair of printed circuit boards and electronic units.
• Perform soldering and rework on surface‑mount and through‑hole components.
• Read and interpret circuit diagrams, or analyse circuitry directly when documentation is limited.
• Operate standard electronic test equipment and adapt to unfamiliar tools as required.
• Assist in developing and improving practical test methods and equipment.
• Manage multiple repair tasks efficiently while maintaining high quality.
• Conduct thorough testing of repaired units to ensure reliability.
• Maintain clear records of diagnostics, repairs, and components used.

Required profile

• Practical experience in component‑level fault finding and repair.
• Strong understanding of electronic components and circuit operation.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of technical problems.
• Methodical, disciplined approach with careful documentation.
• Comfortable working within a small, close‑knit technical team.
