EMEA Controller – Senior Finance Leadership Role

About the role

This senior finance position sits at the heart of a leading multi‑strategy hedge fund’s finance function. Based in London, the EMEA Controller will own financial reporting, regulatory compliance and management company accounting across the region, reporting directly to global CFO leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end EMEA financial reporting, audit processes and management company accounting across multiple jurisdictions.
• Lead regulatory reporting obligations for all EMEA‑regulated entities.
• Partner with senior leadership on financial controls, governance and strategic finance initiatives.
• Drive process improvement and automation across the EMEA finance function.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high‑performing finance team in a fast‑paced environment.

Required profile

• 10+ years in senior finance roles, preferably within hedge funds or alternative asset management.
• Deep technical accounting knowledge of multi‑entity, multi‑currency structures in EMEA.
• Strong experience with regulatory reporting across key EMEA jurisdictions.
• Proven people‑leadership track record, building and developing finance teams.
• ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent qualification; Big 4 training is a strong plus.
