Employment Lawyer – Employee Relations Partner

About the role

Join Gallagher as an Employment Lawyer supporting employee relations across the UK. You will work with HR and business leaders to manage complex employee relations matters and employment litigation.

Key responsibilities

• Support the HR team in delivering employee relations programmes that meet business needs.
• Handle complex employee relations matters, including discipline, grievances, performance and absence management.
• Collaborate on mergers and acquisitions, including due diligence and reviewing transactional documents.
• Manage employment litigation, including pre‑conciliation and drafting legal documents.
• Provide guidance on settlement agreements and employment cases in the UK.
• Support consultation processes for business transformations, mergers and acquisitions.
• Help design, update and interpret HR policies and deliver training on employment legislation.

Required profile

• Practising lawyer with a law degree and significant experience in employment law, either in‑house or in private practice.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders in complex commercial environments.
• Ability to build partnerships, influence decisions and challenge ideas constructively.
• Comfortable working with a dispersed workforce.
• Eligible to work in the UK.
