Engineer – Residential Infrastructure

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Engineer to join our Technical department and help deliver high‑quality residential developments across Yorkshire. You will own infrastructure matters from early feasibility through to on‑site delivery, ensuring projects stay safe, efficient and on programme.

Key responsibilities

• Manage infrastructure for residential developments from feasibility to site delivery.
• Coordinate and secure technical information, approvals, quotations, agreements and on‑site service connections.
• Liaise with utility providers, consultants, local authorities, highways, environmental agencies and warranty providers.
• Support the appointment and management of external providers and consultants.
• Review legal agreements, easements and utility documentation with legal teams.
• Attend pre‑start, site and project review meetings weekly to support delivery and programme performance.
• Distribute technical drawings and information accurately to Construction, Commercial and Sales teams.
• Provide ongoing technical support and practical problem‑solving across departments.
• Assist with feasibility studies and advise on utility budget costs.
• Support compliance with CDM Regulations and contribute to safe project delivery.

Required profile

• Experience managing utility provision within residential housing or construction developments.
• Knowledge of utility companies, industry procedures, legislation and regulatory frameworks.
• Understanding of CDM Regulations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Excellent organisation, coordination and a proactive, solutions‑focused mindset.
• Ability to influence, negotiate and build strong working relationships.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
