Engineer Surveyor – LEV/Electrical (Castle Donnington)

About the role

Zurich Engineering is expanding its field‑based Engineer Surveyor team and is looking for a LEV/Electrical Surveyor covering the Castle Donnington area. The role offers flexible working options – part‑time, job‑share or full‑time – and allows you to manage your own diary while representing Zurich to a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Complete industry‑leading training and then carry out statutory inspections of mechanical and electrical equipment.
• Provide expert opinions to help clients meet relevant legislation and Zurich’s high standards.
• Record findings on a rugged laptop and issue electronic reports to clients.
• Maintain high levels of IT proficiency and literacy while communicating clearly with clients and team members.

Required profile

• Experienced engineer with a solid knowledge of your discipline, able to work as part of a multi‑disciplined inspection team.
• Hold a Level 3 engineering qualification (support available to achieve IEng status) and a valid UK driving licence.
• Completed a time‑served or modern apprenticeship and have hands‑on experience with pumps and motors (preferred).
• Willingness to work paid overtime and travel reasonable distances from a home‑based office.

Required skills

• Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) knowledge, preferably P601 qualified.
• Electrical Wiring Regulations (C&G 2382) competence.
• Inspection & Test qualification (C&G 2391‑52 or equivalent).
• Compex qualification (advantageous).
• Proficiency with pumps, motors and related equipment.
• Strong computer literacy and ability to use a rugged laptop for reporting.
