Engineer Surveyor – Lift & Crane (Sutton Coldfield)

About the role

Zurich Engineering is expanding its field‑based Engineer Surveyor team in Sutton Coldfield. The role can be taken on a full‑time, part‑time or job‑share basis, allowing you to manage your own diary while representing Zurich to a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out hands‑on statutory inspections of lifts and crane equipment and provide expert engineering opinions.
• Record findings on a rugged laptop and issue electronic reports to clients.
• Ensure inspections meet all relevant legislation and Zurich’s exacting standards.

Required profile

• Experienced engineer with a solid knowledge of mechanical engineering disciplines.
• Level 4 (HND/HNC) qualification in a relevant engineering field preferred; Level 3 minimum.
• Valid UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites.
• Ability to work overtime when required.

Required skills

• Statutory inspection of lifts and crane equipment.
• Proficient IT skills for electronic reporting using a rugged laptop.

• Competitive total package over £65,000, including salary up to £57,594.
