Engineering Geologist – Geotechnical & Environmental Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Geologist to join our environmental engineering consultancy near Oxford. The role involves leading ground investigation projects across a variety of geo‑environmental and geotechnical assignments.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee site investigations and field work.
• Produce factual and interpretive reports.
• Carry out desktop studies and data analysis.
• Monitor groundwater and gas levels.
• Perform soil and rock logging.
• Communicate findings to clients.
• Mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• Degree in geology, earth sciences, environmental engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in the geotechnical industry as an engineer or consultant.
• Full UK driving licence and ability to travel to sites.
• Right to work in the UK and residence within commuting distance of Oxford.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
• Working towards or holding chartered status.
