English & Maths Tutor (Part‑Time, QTS Required)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified teacher to deliver one‑to‑one English and Maths tuition to secondary‑aged pupils in Wigan. The role starts in September 2026 and offers flexible, part‑time hours during school time, allowing you to make a tangible impact on student confidence and achievement.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver personalised English and Maths lessons for individual learners.
• Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to improve outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records in line with safeguarding and company procedures.
• Build positive, professional relationships with pupils to encourage engagement.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
• Minimum six months of UK‑based teaching experience.
• Experience teaching English and Maths to secondary students.
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain) and right to work in the UK.

Required skills

• Ability to plan and deliver lessons independently.
• Strong communication and classroom management skills.
• Organisational skills for record‑keeping and progress tracking.
