About the role
We are seeking a passionate English Teacher to join a high‑performing secondary school in Guildford, Surrey. The role starts in September/October 2026 and offers the chance to work in a supportive, inclusive community where every student benefits from modern digital resources.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5 experience desirable).
- Inspire a love of literature and language while developing analytical and communication skills.
- Monitor, assess and report on student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback.
- Contribute to curriculum development and share best practice within the English department.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
- Proven experience teaching English in a UK secondary school.
