About the role
The school is seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher to deliver lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 from September 2026. This full‑time, long‑term position runs until December 2026 with the possibility of a permanent contract from January 2027.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging English Language and Literature lessons for KS3 and KS4.
- Support students in developing confidence, literacy skills and a love of reading.
- Collaborate with the English department to maintain high teaching standards.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred, but not essential.
- Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge of English Language and Literature.
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Passion for raising attainment and excellent classroom management.
