About the role
We are partnering with a Good‑rated secondary school in Amersham, Buckinghamshire to recruit a qualified English Teacher or English Specialist for a long‑term Temp‑Perm contract starting September 2026. The successful candidate will join a supportive teaching team and deliver engaging English lessons to students of all abilities.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver interactive English lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Manage classroom behaviour and maintain high expectations for student achievement.
- Utilise online teaching platforms to enhance learning experiences.
- Contribute to departmental meetings, school initiatives and continuous improvement programmes.
Required profile
- Fully qualified teacher with QTS or an English Specialist with a strong passion for the subject.
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Commitment to the science of learning and ongoing professional development.
- Desire to make a positive impact on students' lives and future opportunities.
Required skills
- Degree in English or a related field.
- Relevant teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of the English curriculum and effective teaching techniques.
- Experience using online teaching platforms.
