Enterprise Account Executive - Retail

About the role

As an Enterprise Account Executive at Anthropic, you will lead the introduction of our AI productivity API and SaaS solutions to retail organisations across EMEA. You will drive adoption of safe, frontier AI by securing strategic deals with retail brands and become a trusted partner for their merchandising, customer experience and store operations.

Key responsibilities

• Win new business and own the full sales cycle, from outbound outreach to closing strategic retail deals.
• Design and execute sales strategies that align with retail procurement cycles and budgeting processes to exceed revenue quotas.
• Identify new use cases within merchandising, e‑commerce and store operations, and collaborate cross‑functionally to differentiate Anthropic’s offerings.
• Navigate complex stakeholder ecosystems—including executives, IT, and procurement—to build consensus.
• Gather retail feedback to inform product roadmaps and continuously refine sales methodology and playbooks.

Required profile

• 8+ years of B2B SaaS, API or emerging‑technology sales experience, preferably within retail.
• Proven track record of managing complex sales cycles and securing strategic deals in retail organisations.
• Deep understanding of retail buying cycles, procurement frameworks and key stakeholder decision‑making.
• Strong analytical and strategic approach to market assessment combined with creative execution.
• Passion for advanced AI systems and commitment to safe, ethical AI deployment in retail.
