Equity Research Associate – Diversified Financials

About the role

Bernstein Autonomous Research is seeking a motivated Equity Research Associate to join its highly‑ranked Autonomous Research team covering Diversified Financials. You will work closely with a senior analyst, gaining deep sector expertise while contributing to the team’s differentiated research output.

Key responsibilities

• Develop sector knowledge and become an expert in Diversified Financials under the guidance of a senior analyst.
• Conduct in‑depth financial analysis and modelling of companies within the sector.
• Produce high‑quality written research reports that meet Bernstein’s rigorous standards.
• Build and maintain relationships with company management, sales, trading, and institutional clients.
• Participate in team‑wide initiatives, including philanthropy, development programs, and social events.

Required profile

• First‑class or 2:1 undergraduate degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Sciences or Engineering from a top‑ranked university.
• Strong analytical mindset with relentless intellectual curiosity.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Team‑player who thrives in a rigorous yet collegial environment.
