ESOL Tutor – Part‑time (5‑15 hrs/week) in Liverpool

About the role

Prospero Teaching is looking for a part‑time ESOL Tutor to deliver one‑to‑one English language tuition to adult learners in Liverpool. The role supports individuals whose first language is not English, helping them improve communication, confidence and progress towards study or work goals.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver personalised 1:1 ESOL lessons for 5‑15 hours per week.
• Assess learners’ language levels and set appropriate learning objectives.
• Provide constructive feedback and monitor progress.
• Adapt teaching materials to suit diverse cultural and educational backgrounds.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance and achievement.

Required profile

• Proven experience teaching ESOL to adult learners.
• Relevant qualification such as CELTA, DELTA, TEFL/TESOL, PGCE or QTS (preferred).
• Strong communication and a learner‑focused approach.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Enhanced DBS clearance or willingness to obtain one.
• Two professional references.
