Estimator (Foundations / Civil Engineering / Geotechnical)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Estimator with a civil or structural engineering background to join a family‑run construction firm specialising in groundworks and basement restoration. The role offers hybrid working from our Isleworth office and provides a clear pathway to becoming a fully qualified estimator.

Key responsibilities

• Produce accurate, value‑engineered cost estimates for foundations, groundworks, piling and basement projects.
• Identify risks and opportunities in tenders and support quantity surveying functions.
• Prepare detailed quotations, negotiate terms and ensure smooth handover to the operations team.
• Visit heritage and commercial sites to gather data for groundworks and geotechnical assessments.
• Maintain strong client relationships throughout the enquiry‑to‑award process.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Based in Isleworth or within a reasonable commuting distance.
• Enthusiastic about developing a career in construction estimating.
