Experienced HDR Solicitor – Housing Disrepair Litigation

About the role

We are looking for an experienced HDR Solicitor to join our growing litigation team in Manchester. The role focuses on Housing Disrepair claims and offers the chance to manage a varied caseload within a supportive, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage Housing Disrepair matters from inception to resolution.
• Provide clear, practical legal advice and maintain high standards of client care.
• Investigate claims by gathering, reviewing and analysing evidence.
• Draft legal documents, pleadings, witness statements and correspondence.
• Conduct negotiations with defendants and third parties to achieve favourable settlements.
• Liaise with clients, experts, counsel and other stakeholders to ensure efficient case progression.
• Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with regulatory and procedural requirements.
• Stay up‑to‑date with relevant legislation, case law and industry developments.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor with a current practising certificate.
• Proven experience handling Housing Disrepair claims.
• Strong litigation and case‑management abilities.
• Excellent drafting, analytical and negotiation skills.
• Thorough understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules and housing legislation.
• Professional, organised and client‑focused approach with strong attention to detail.
