Experienced Social Worker – Children with Disabilities

About the role

Our client, Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council, is seeking an experienced Social Worker to join the Children with Disabilities team. The role focuses on eligibility assessments for ongoing support and intervention within the Disabled Children’s service, operating primarily with the 0‑11 early‑intervention team.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct eligibility assessments for children with lifelong, permanent disabilities.
• Collaborate with families, health, education, and other key agencies to ensure appropriate support.
• Work closely with the Enablement, 0‑11, 11+, Eligibility, and Occupational Therapy teams.
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to safeguarding policies.

Required profile

• Qualified and experienced Social Worker with a background in disability services.
• Willingness to register fully with Remedy for locum positions.
• Ability to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.
• Commitment to equality, diversity, and safeguarding vulnerable individuals.
