Experienced Teaching Assistant

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Billericay on a full‑time, one‑year fixed‑term contract. You will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across the primary age range and help create an inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide classroom support and assist teachers with daily activities.
• Deliver targeted interventions to individuals and small groups.
• Support pupils on a one‑to‑one basis where required.
• Assist with the inclusion of pupils with special educational needs (SEN) as needed.
• Collaborate with the wider school team to promote a positive learning atmosphere.

Required profile

• Minimum two years’ experience as a Teaching Assistant.
• Confidence supporting pupils across the primary age range.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
• Proactive, reliable, and passionate about education.
