About the role
We are seeking a passionate EYFS Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Banbury. The role starts in September 2026 and offers the chance to shape the early learning experiences of young children in a supportive, child‑centred environment.
Key responsibilities
- Take responsibility for an EYFS class, delivering engaging and age‑appropriate learning experiences.
- Plan and deliver a creative, play‑based curriculum aligned with the Early Years Framework.
- Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment that encourages curiosity and independence.
- Support children’s social, emotional and academic development through high‑quality interactions.
- Use ongoing assessment to track progress and inform next steps in learning.
- Develop early communication, language, literacy and numeracy skills.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, colleagues and parents to achieve strong early outcomes.
- Contribute to wider EYFS provision, including events and enrichment activities.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching within EYFS in a UK primary school setting.
- A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach to working with young children.
- Excellent communication, organisation and classroom management skills.
- Strong commitment to safeguarding and supporting individual needs.
- Early‑career teachers are warmly encouraged to apply and will receive full support and mentoring.
Required skills
- Strong understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.
- Ability to create engaging, play‑based learning opportunities.
- Proficiency in using assessment data to inform teaching.
