Family Nurse – Children & Families (Full‑time, Drumchapel)

About the role

The NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is recruiting a full‑time Family Nurse to deliver an intensive, preventative home‑visiting programme for young parents from pregnancy until the child’s second birthday. The role is based at Drumchapel Health Centre and forms part of a national Family Nurse Programme designed to improve pregnancy outcomes, child development and family economic stability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop therapeutic relationships with eligible young families and provide intensive clinical support.
• Recruit and engage seldom‑heard pregnant young women into the Family Nurse Programme.
• Deliver the home‑visiting curriculum using licensed materials to achieve programme outcomes.
• Act as the named person for each family, coordinating care and referrals as needed.
• Participate in mandatory education sessions over an 18‑month hybrid learning period.

Required profile

• Registered nurse eligible to work in the United Kingdom.
• Willingness to attend all mandatory education dates and complete the optional Professional Diploma in Family Nursing.
• Ability to work full‑time, Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am‑4:30 pm.
• Eligibility for sponsorship in line with Home Office requirements, if applicable.
