Family Solicitor – Private Family Law (Guildford)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Family Solicitor to join a highly regarded private family law team in Guildford, Surrey. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of privately funded family law matters, with a particular emphasis on financial remedy work and high‑value assets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload of privately funded family law matters.
• Advise clients on divorce, dissolution, separation and financial remedy.
• Handle financial remedy negotiations, court proceedings and mediation.
• Prepare Forms E, financial statements, schedules of assets and supporting documentation.
• Draft applications, consent orders, settlement proposals and correspondence.
• Work with barristers, financial and pension experts as required.
• Advise on pre‑nuptial, post‑nuptial and separation agreements.
• Represent clients throughout court hearings and prepare cases for trial.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with 2–8 years post‑qualification experience.
• Strong experience in privately funded family law, especially financial aspects of divorce and separation.
• Ability to handle mid to high‑value asset cases (up to ~£5 million).

Required skills

• Form E preparation
• Financial statements and asset schedule drafting

What we offer

• Salary £50,000‑£65,000 per year, dependent on experience.
