Field Service Engineer – Industrial Air Compressors

About the role

Join a fast‑growing engineering company as a Field Service Engineer specialising in industrial air compressors and generators. You will be based in Derby and cover a 75‑mile radius, providing a stable Monday‑to‑Friday schedule with minimal overtime.

Key responsibilities

• Travel to client sites across the East Midlands, up to Leeds and down to Birmingham.
• Perform servicing, preventive maintenance and installation of air compressors, nitrogen/oxygen generators and related equipment.
• Diagnose faults, carry out repairs and ensure equipment complies with health and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate service records and communicate findings to customers.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Service Engineer in a compressed‑air or generator environment.
• Ability to work independently within a defined local patch and return home each night.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to high‑quality workmanship.
