Finance Analyst – Business Partner & Dashboard Specialist

About the role

This Finance Analyst position is based in Canterbury and offers a competitive salary of around £55k. The role blends financial analysis, business partnering, dashboard creation and month‑end accounting, giving you high visibility across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Excel reporting dashboards.
• Produce insightful analysis to support performance and decision‑making.
• Partner with operational and manufacturing teams to understand costs, efficiencies and key drivers.
• Identify and deliver cost‑saving and process‑improvement initiatives.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Analyse manufacturing costs, labour efficiency, overheads and production variances.
• Assist with month‑end close, reconciliations and management reporting.
• Generate KPI reporting and performance analysis for senior management.
• Automate and improve financial reporting processes using systems and data.

Required profile

• Experience in a Finance Analyst, Commercial Analyst or Finance Business Partner role.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills with confidence to challenge and influence stakeholders.
• Experience in manufacturing, engineering or product‑based industries is a plus.
• Professional qualification (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) or active studies towards one is beneficial.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (formulas, modelling, data manipulation).
• Dashboard creation in Power BI.
