Finance Analyst – Financial Services/Fintech

About the role

A fast‑growing financial services/fintech company is seeking a Finance Analyst to join its London finance team. The business expects to double in size over the next 12‑18 months, offering excellent exposure for a professional moving from practice into industry. You will work closely with the Financial Controller and CFO on reporting, analysis, management information, systems and projects.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare technical accounting papers and memos under FRS 102, with IFRS exposure where required.
• Support monthly management accounts across group entities.
• Conduct data and variance analysis to aid decision‑making.
• Assist in producing monthly MI reports and board‑pack materials.
• Handle daily revenue postings, cash reconciliation and broader finance processes.
• Provide audit support and resolve audit queries.
• Identify and implement AI tools to improve finance efficiency and accuracy.

Required profile

• ACA qualified or close to qualification.
• Experience in a top‑tier accountancy practice, preferably a Top 20 firm.
• Financial services audit experience is highly beneficial.
• Strong understanding of FRS 102 and IFRS.
• Excellent Excel skills; Power BI exposure advantageous.
• Strong academic background, ideally a degree from a leading university.
• Analytical, detail‑focused and able to manage multiple deadlines.
• Critical thinker with an AI‑native mindset and interest in technology within finance.
