Finance Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a Finance Analyst to join a leading organisation in Weymouth. Working hybrid (two days in the office and three days remote), you will support financial decision‑making by delivering accurate analysis, challenging processes and providing insight to stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Produce accurate and timely financial reporting, analysis and commentary to support business decisions.
• Provide variance analysis, highlighting trends, risks and opportunities.
• Support the Finance Business Partner with regular reporting and commercial analysis.
• Ensure accurate transactional postings and complete reconciliations within deadlines.
• Assist month‑end activities, including balance‑sheet reconciliations, cost reporting and financial reviews.
• Contribute to budgeting and forecasting, reviewing business risks and one‑off impacts.
• Support IFRS 16 accounting processes and supply data for reporting.
• Review and improve finance processes to increase efficiency.
• Help with year‑end reporting and external audit requirements.
• Guide junior team members and support their development.

Required profile

• Part‑qualified or qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent).
• Experience in commercial finance, management accounting or financial analysis.
• Confidence in reconciliations, reporting and variance analysis.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to translate data into clear insight.
• Comfortable communicating financial information to non‑finance stakeholders.
• Enjoys improving processes and finding efficiencies.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for data analysis and reporting.
