Finance Assistant – Hybrid, London

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Finance Assistant to support our Finance Controller in a fast‑moving marketing agency based in Shoreditch, London. The role is hybrid, with three days in the office and two days remote, offering a great balance of collaboration and flexibility.

Key responsibilities

• Process and record all financial transactions, including invoices, payments, receipts and journals.
• Manage accounts payable and ensure timely supplier payments.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and monitor company expenses.
• Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, balance‑sheet reconciliations and cash‑flow reporting.
• Support work‑in‑progress tracking and liaise with non‑finance teams on project costs.
• Help with internal and external audits and maintain compliance.
• Maintain the finance systems, primarily Xero and Paprika.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping or finance support.
• Experience within a marketing, media or creative agency is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards, VAT and basic payroll.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
