Finance Manager - Housing, Real Estate

About the role

This position is with a fast‑growing residential platform backed by a successful private property and investment group. The Finance Manager will join an expanding finance team and support the financial management of a social housing and residential property portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and reporting packs.
• Assist with statutory accounts, year‑end reporting and audit support.
• Develop budgets, forecasts and cash‑flow reports.
• Review and reconcile managing‑agent statements and property transactions.
• Monitor portfolio activity and ensure correct accounting treatment.
• Prepare VAT returns and support routine finance compliance.
• Support board reporting, quarterly returns and regulatory submissions.
• Assist with forecasting, stress testing and business planning.
• Help integrate newly acquired housing portfolios.
• Liaise with managing agents, stakeholders and external advisers.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or qualified by experience) with post‑qualification experience.
• Strong background in management accounts, financial reporting and core finance processes.
• Experience in property, real‑estate or residential sectors is highly desirable.
• Exposure to social housing or housing regulation is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and stakeholder‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency.
