Finance Manager – Housing, Real Estate

About the role

Our client, a fast‑growing residential platform backed by a successful privately owned property and investment group, is seeking a Finance Manager to join its expanding finance team in London. The role will support the finance function across a social‑housing and residential property portfolio, combining day‑to‑day reporting with strategic work on acquisitions and portfolio integration.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and reporting packs for senior leadership.
• Assist with statutory accounts, year‑end reporting and audit support.
• Develop budgets, forecasts and cash‑flow reports, including stress‑testing scenarios.
• Review and reconcile managing‑agent statements and property transactions.
• Monitor portfolio activity to ensure correct accounting treatment.
• Prepare VAT returns and support routine finance compliance.
• Support board reporting, quarterly returns and regulatory submissions.
• Assist with integration of newly acquired housing portfolios.
• Liaise with managing agents, stakeholders and external advisers.

Required profile

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (post‑qualified experience preferred).
• Strong background in management accounts, financial reporting and core finance processes.
• Experience in the property, real‑estate or residential sector is highly desirable.
• Exposure to social‑housing regulation is a plus but not essential.
• Proven analytical ability and stakeholder‑management experience.

• Advanced Excel.
